About The Center
Sister Annunciata Bethell Senior Center (The Bedford Park Multi-Service Center for Senior Citizens, Inc) offers programming weekdays for seniors in a nurturing environment. Educational/Recreational programs include: games and stimulating group activities, crochet, exercise, computer instruction, social dancing, theater arts and more. Lunch is served. Case assistance is also available.
Our Founder
Sister Annunciata Bethell, O.S.U., faithfully served senior citizens in the Bedford Park community of the Bronx from 1972 until her passing at age 90. From a base at St. Phillip Neri Church, she founded a senior citizens program that soon expanded to become Bedford Park Multi-Service Center for Senior Citizens, Inc. The center was later renamed the Sister Annunciata Bethell Senior center after its founder. Dedicated to serving her community, Sister Annunciata Bethell was also a board member and adviser to many community and health organizations.
